Specifically Looking For:

We look for contemporary comedies: dark comedy, subversive comedy, romantic comedy and farce a la Election, Royal Tenenbaums, Ghost World and Bad Santa. We also look for dramas a la The Good Girl and Lost in Translation. We particularly look for writer/directors (filmmakers) to work with, those who's movies can be made for less than $5m and who have a fresh and unique voice. We look for movies that appeal to adults, that are sophisticated and smart.

Anything Else:

We have 2 movies shooting in 2004, both by first time writer/directors, in the $2-4 million range, that are currently actively casting and funded by Rainstorm Entertainment. We also have a project that we are co-producing with Stan Winston (a science fiction comedy), that is out to directors, now.

Advice to participants:

We are definitely niche producers, so won't be interested in high concept action movies.
