Specifically Looking for: |
Please see our website at http://producers.discovery.com for more specifics. The Science Channel - all aspects of current and future scientific inquiry (ie. astronomy, engineering, oceanography, marine biology, etc.), the influence of science and technology on all aspects of life and society, biographies of former and current scientists, impact of science on our future living, or other similar genres. All programming should have a minimum 2-4 year shelf-life and must have an in-depth science component. Discovery Wings Channel - Our current focus in new programming is on
civil, commercial, and extreme aviation, not military aviation. Genres
include, but are not limited to: aviator, inventor, and pioneer profiles;
space history; programs showcasing the passion of flight with themes
of adventure, danger and speed; escape and freedom; nostalgia; sports;
technology; space exploration; enthusiast activities and events. Editorial
emphasis is on entertaining and informative storytelling, with a strong
bias Discovery Home & Leisure Channel - We are currently looking for
programming ideas that will allow us to broaden our audience. Therefore,
series focusing on the ideas of recreation, leisure, passions, pursuits,
hobbies, freedom, and free time are attractive to us. We will also consider
heavy-duty do-it-yourself shows. All programming should be first-person
active and personality driven - fun, lively, humorous, perhaps slightly
irreverent. We are not currently looking for design, decoration, home,
or garden programming. All programming should have a minimum 2-4 year
shelf-life. |
