GENERAL INFORMATION

> develops/produces

> We are very interested in arranging co-production within various countries. We also like to have people approach us that may have money or pieces already connected and need the final piece to finish the financing. We are looking for partners for co-production and well written scripts that feature new concepts or quirky interesting characters. Settings with exotic locations.

INTERESTS

Types of Programming:

Children & Youth, Drama - Feature Length, Drama MOWs, Drama - Series

At the moment we are very much on the look out for romantic comedies suitable for network television. Also looking for very low budget, feature scripts in the "disaster" genre. And anything good and well written in between!

Length of Programs:

Ninety minutes +

We love strong women stories. We like animal and children stories. We like any story that has a story and that can be made for a reasonable budget. We love anything that can be a Television network movie.

Broad Subjects of Interest:

Adventure, Animation, Comedy, Reality, Romance

We're looking for surprises. What do you have that can be made for a low budget but might be quirky or lots of fun? What do you have that is probably big budget and needs a creative Producer to appreciate the idea and run with it? Do you have a project that already has some financing, but needs the rest? Does your project need a co-venture or a co-producer? Can it be shot in Canada or Romania? Bring me something that has not been shopped around.

Specifically Looking For:

Stories that affect families; or communities. Stories that empower women, or men. Stories about how young people break through adversities. Universal stories that deal with different cultures. Stories about how one person can make a difference.

Anything Else:

There is no stupid idea. Be yourselves. Be comfortable. Be brief without tripping over yourself. Keep it very simple. If the germ of the idea is good and you've executed it in a well written script, or in a well presented idea of what exactly you need to get this produced; you will shine forth. Be clear in what you are needing - have some concept as to what the budget range might be. If you need money ask for it. Remember,
everybody pitches and its OK. Have as much fun with the process as possible. Be enthusiastic, expect the most. Never take "no" as a "no"; the next person you pitch might be the one that makes it happen. Nothing is personal. Try to reach as many people as possible.

Remember 90% of success is just showing up. Good Luck - have a great day!

Advice to participants:

It's the old adage: I want to hear the whole story in a few sentences or less. And then you get another five minutes to tell me what you need? Money? Cast? A Producer? What? Know what you need.
