GENERAL INFORMATION

> Looking for coproducers for own shows and new material

Co-productions are becoming a distinct option in trying to arrange financing for production. Once relegated to feature productions and long-form drama, we're beginning to see them used effectively in smaller, less 'high concept' TV productions too.

> Options material

We're always on the outlook for books and scripts (both feature and TV) that interest us.

> Hires writers, directors, segment producers, not necessarily represented

All of the above, depending, of course, on the project. Segment producers are of less use to us, but again, only because most of the programming we've been committed to didn't require them.

> Opening to working with emerging writers, directors, producers

Very, particularly writers. In fact we've actively solicited script synopses via advertising and responding to 'cold calls'.

INTERESTS

Types of Programming:

Children and Youth, Documentaries - One Offs, Documentaries - Series, Drama Feature Length, Drama MOWs, Drama Series, Educational, Game Shows

In fact, we've pitched programs to broadcasters ourselves that fit into all these categories in the past two and a half years. Feature length documentaries aren't something we'd pursue (unless, of course, Michael Moore has decided he no longer wishes to work with Salter Street!)

Length of Programs:

Half hour programs, One hour programs, Ninety minutes or more

Broad Subjects of Interest:

Adventure, Animation, Biographies, Comedy, Cooking Shows, Crime & Mystery, Health, History,Humanities, Lifestyle, Medical, Music & Arts, Nature, Reality, Religion, Romance, Science, Science Fiction, Travel

I have to say that I'm more interested in the content regardless of genre. Anything goes!

Specifically Looking For:

No, not right now. Prefer to be pitched.

Anything Else:

It ain't the presentation, it's the presentation of the presentation. In other words, a good pitch combined with clear and creative 'package' (one-sheets, collateral materials, etc.) is the way to get our attention.
