The Great American PitchFest: BY Writers, FOR Writers
Signe Olynyk and Bob Schultz "...Without your Pitchfest the film business is like a building without any doors." - Lynn Ivall, Screenwriter Dear Writer, My name is Signe Olynyk, and I'm a writer - just like you. I started the Great American PitchFest because I wanted to help other writers move their careers forward, and make 'finding the door' just a little bit easier. Five years, and many success stories later, participants have had their screenplays optioned, been hired for writing assignments, or signed with agents or managers. All of us here are proud to be celebrating with them. The Great American PitchFest is the only event that offers free classes (no registration or hidden fees) and wants you to have as many meetings as possible (one price). You MUST attend this event if you are looking to get your screenplay into the hands of someone who can actually do something with it. OR if you need an agent or a manager. OR career advice to take your screenwriting career to the next level. Every year our lineup of speakers and guest panelists gets bigger and better. This is the first year we are offering Master Classes, and we are excited to have legendary screenwriting masters Syd Field, Michael Hauge, and Pilar Alessandra leading intensive workshops. We will also have a record 100+ production companies and agencies to hear your pitches at the Great American PitchFest. Master Classes and passes to the Great American PitchFest are available for a fee, but all our Storylink All-Star sessions are free (yes, all 30+ of them). Packages are available online. Once again, we are thrilled to be working with the Writer's Store and Storylink to bring you an outstanding lineup of speakers and over 30 FREE classes. These classes are our gift to the screenwriting community, and demonstrate our commitment to help develop strong writers and furthering the screenwriting craft. View the full schedule or RSVP for the free classes, on our website. The Great American PitchFest is organized by a group of writers and producers dedicated to helping others to make the connections they need to get their scripts and projects produced. This entire event is yours as much as it is ours, so please share your experiences with us and help to make it the best it can be. If there is a particular company you want to pitch to, let us know and we'll invite them to attend. If there are classes you would like to take, we'll add them to our lineup. Tell us your thoughts and email us at info@pitchest.com. On behalf of myself, my incredible crew, and all our dedicated volunteers, we wish you great success in your screenwriting career, and always. We hope to see you there. Last year's event sold out, so don't wait to register. Make this your year! |
